I'm a stickler for proper grammar. Now I'm sure that I've had my share of bad grammar, misspelled words, and typos. But I honestly give every post at least a cursory lookover and correct any stupid mistakes. One curious trend I see is people using the possessive as a plural. See example below:
Unfortunately, I've come to expect bad grammar and spelling on blogs and forums. The ones that irk me the most are "to" instead of "too" and "your" instead of "you're". I hate it when someone types, "Your welcome." Yeah? What about my welcome?

The street address posted on the entry door toour local Walmart is mispelled too.
I would've guessed you are a stickler for that....I've seen you put up posts a few different times on Yada, asking for the correct way to word something.
And Damn Boo, ya got me lookin' over all MY apostrophes for a mistake.....don't want to send you over the edge! :)

boo!!
This is a favorite pastime of my boss and myself...correcting grammar in emails and letters we receive. She is much better than I, as she was a teacher.
I try to read everything before I post for mistakes, but have forgotten many of the *rules*...I was horrible at sentance diagraming in HS.
The one sign that I dislike are *for sale* signs that say *4 sale*...so the number *4* is for sale, or they have *four* of something for sale. Which? Neither.
Ahhh, come on, newt! You won't stay at a KOA? (Kampground of America).
Ditto on the misspellings, and misuse of punctuation. I find simple typos less of an aggravation, however. And, I am not perfect either. (Do you think we should tell Gabriel that it's supposed to be "sentence" and not "sentance"?) I'll leave it up to someone else, as I am not on a first name basis with the party.
