Sunny skies and warmer temperatures returned today. As you can see in many of the pictures, it’s still fairly cool when we start off in the morning. I typically wore wool arm warmers to help keep me warm. Arm warmers are great because you can take them off and store them in your jersey pocket when it gets warmer out.

Once we entered Idaho and headed into Montana, the scenery changed back to lush pine forests. Had a good climb to start the day heading up Lookout Pass. Along with going over the Continental Divide, Lookout Pass was one of the higher elevation passes we climbed over. I was wondering if we’d get high enough in elevation to feel any difference, but I never did. Find out what’s happening at Lookout Pass RIGHT NOW.

Ate lunch at a really neat place called the Silver Dollar Café. Inside there are literally thousands of real silver dollars “glued” to the wall. Not sure what I ate but I honestly don’t remember having a bad meal on the trip. Of course, I was so hungry all the time, stepped-on chewing gum would have tasted good.

We stayed at the local high school in Superior. One thing that stunk was dinner was delay by an hour because we entered a new time zone. All of us were bitching and moaning about being so hungry. Tomorrow would be a longer day…much longer…and it wasn’t on purpose either…. STAY TUNED!
