Storytime Redux

Things went well at the preschool. One of the teacher's aides let me in at noon since the doors are normally locked still at that hour. All of the kids were already sitting on the floor, and there was an empty chair waiting for me. After I started readings, some kids got up and sat elsewhere so they could see better. The story is on the long side. It takes me about 15 minutes to read. But all of the kids were well behaved and seemed to follow along. I hope they liked my pirate voices. "ARRR, you scurvy sea dogs!!!"

After I finished the story, the teacher asked some simple questions like, "Was Cyrus a good sea serpent or a bad sea serpent?" and "How did Cyrus help the passengers on the boat?" There were only 10 more minutes left in class so I took Boo Jr home with me a little early. I think I felt more nervous doing this reading than I do giving a presentation at work. I hope I can do it again sometime soon.
