Idiot Contractors

. Thursday, March 01, 2007

As hard as we try to make our documents as clear and consise as possible, it still can not prevent a contractor from building things the way "they" see it.

So, how do you think this could be avoided in the future? #1 answer: Find a different contractor!

But seriously, the lesson here is...just be careful where you place bubbles, space names, leader lines, leader arrows, etc....as they may very well turn into an odd-shaped stair tread, elevation change, or some other unwanted piece of construction!

r u kiddin' me? Boo, seriously, wouldn't that be something that is against code, and the contractor would make a phone call to question the interpretation of the print before going to the trouble of making stupid stairs?
