My weekend got off to an early start as I took Friday afternoon off for my son's 5th birthday party. We had five of his preschool friends over for some cake, ice cream, and games. It went well, the house is still in one piece, and no one cried or got hurt.
One girl, Mia, (we joke that she'll be my son's future wife since they get along so well together and she's as cute as a button) always asks if she can go to Boo Jr's room with him (presumably to play toys with him). Do most kids keep their toys in their room? We've got a bonus room over the garage that is the "play room" and that's where all the toys are kept. Besides bedroom furniture, the only other thing in my son's room are books.
On Saturday, we went to Anders' b-day party. That was held at his house. He had maybe a dozen preschool friends over for his party. They rented a small boucy castle, which was set up right in the garage. Besides that, they had a bean bag toss, pin the tire on the monster truck, and some coloring. It's great to see Boo jr interact well with all the other kids.
Sunday is the traditional grocery shopping and "clean the house" day. Also spent a good deal of time outside playing with Boo Jr's new stomp rocket. Made a stop at Lowes to get some bags of mulch to freshen up the front flower beds.
