I left Midlothian in a mail truck and traveled through Maryland and Pennsylvania before arriving in Oneida, New York.
The mailman put me in Doddin’s mail box. Doddin is Boo Jr’s grandma.
Doddin showed me lots when I stayed with her. I visited the city of Oneida.
The city is named after the Oneida Indians who lived there before anyone else.
New York grows lots of apple trees. They have pretty flowers in the spring and produce apples in the fall to put in my lunch box.
I saw maple trees that make sap in the spring. It gets collected in a pail and is made into maple syrup to put on pancakes.
The leaves on the maple trees turn from green in the summer to colorful in the fall.
Oneida Lake is the largest lake entirely within New York State.
Oneida Lake is popular for boating and swimming.
People go there to fish in the summer...
… and even in the winter. The fishermen drill holes in the ice to catch the fish. A car can be driven on the ice because it is so strong.
Oneida gets LOTS of snow in the winter.
There are three wind farms near Oneida that produce clean, renewable electricity.
I saw the school and playground where Boo Jr’s Daddy went to school.
Doddin is a really busy person. I sat with the band while the musicians practiced for a concert.
This is me on the treadmill at the YMCA.
I saw the gym and the swimming pool.
These weights were very heavy.
I went to the library to pick out a DVD and a book.
Doddin read the book to me before I went to bed.
Doddin tucked me in bed every night after I brushed my teeth.
Some days I went to work with Doddin.
Here I am going for a ride in a New York State Police car.
Doddin is a really hard worker.
I liked the vending machine best.
Some days I helped Jack’s Grandpa do yard work. Grandpa cooks too. This is what we made together.
Doddin, Grandpa and I flew on an airplane to Denver, Colorado.

Great Post Boo!!
I love it! ;)
It also reminded me of a blog I sometimes visit. (Actually I twitter more with her than I actually comment there) but it's called "Olga The Traveling Bra" And she takes pictures (or embeds the picture) of her black bra into all sorts of Traveling destinations. It's hysterical.
Check her out sometime.

This was a homework assignment in my son's class. There's a map in the hallway outside his classroom that will chart all of the places that Flat Stanley visited. My mom was the perfect person to do this since she does a journal for all of the many trips my parents go on.
And in case anybody is wondering, "Doddin" is what my mom called her grandmother. So that is the name she chose to go by for Boo Jr.

Check her out.
Your pictures are awesome! We took a ride around Madison County yesterday (Brookfield, Hamilton, Earlville, etc.) It's really beautiful country.
