Skiing in the Desert

. Friday, August 11, 2006

And YOU thought those obscene oil profits were funding Middle Eastern terrorists...

In reality, you are funding engineers who design indoor ski slopes for a desert country.

Hey! NJ is getting one, too!

Actually, when you think about it, a desert seems like a GOOD place to put one of these. I mean, why do you need an indoor skiing rink in an area where it snows a lot? But in the desert? People want to get out of the heat, right?

I don't know who funded it...do you have any links? It actually looks kind of fun. Maybe I'll check out the one in Jersey when it's built.

ummm. Skiing RINK? LOL. Indoor ski slop. That's better. Can't ski on a rink! Unless it's cross country. That might work. ;-)

Slop? That's what the snow turns to when it gets too warm!

Ok, listen...I have an excuse. My son is sick today, some sort of stomach virus, so I'm allowed to make typos. :-o

It never snows too much in the part of Sngland i am from or even enough to have a sky slope so many people would welcome a man made one. Not me thought i don't want to bresk my leg, I like dancing too much. :)

Welcome Lady Bristol. Thanks for answering my geography questions on your site. What type of dancing do you participate in? My wife and I actually met while swing dancing.

I love to salsa, but like most dancing as long as the music has a good beat
