Hockey Chants

. Monday, December 04, 2006

Here are some of favorite hockey chants from my years at Clarkson University:

1. Hey Ref! Get off your knees! You're blowing the game!

2. Hey Ref! Why don't you bend over and look with your good eye!

3. You're not a goalie, you're a sieve. You're not a sieve, you're a funnel. You're not a funnel, you're a vacuum cleaner. You're not a vacuum cleaner, YOU JUST SUCK!

Thanks for the laugh Boo. As a former hockey mom we never really chanted things like that...we just pretty much told the refs they sucked...depending on which way the game was going of course!

Oldest son goes to school in Buffalo and gets to watch all the Sabre games on tv there...they are blacked out here. Youngest in Boston has to suffer with the Bruins who SUCK this year!! But he can get $10 tickets through school; oldest can't.

You have no choice but to become a hockey fan if you're a student at Clarkson. I'm not such a hockey fan that I follow the regular season but I really do like watching it.

I absolutely HATE it when people start making comments, yelling and booing at players or umpires, etc. It makes me so mad, I swear next game I go to, I am going to take some water balloons and soak the first person who runs their big mouth! lol grrrrrr

I was just playing a version of soccer with my 7-year-old in the kitchen on a rainy day. For some reason, the chant "The team's a funnel, the goalie's a sieve!" kept running through my head.

I also loved this one after Clarkson's Nth goal:
"One-Two-...-N. We want more!"
I will always remember:
"One. We want more!"
